Shutter Island is an American psychological thriller film directed by Martin Scorsese. The film was released in 2010 and is based on Dennis Lehane's 2003 novel of the same name. Martin Scorsese pays attention to every detail in this film, making "Shutter Island" one of the best suspense thrillers of all time.

Answer
Shutter Island is located near Boston harbor and is home of Ashecliffe Hospital - a psychiatric facility for the criminally insane. Marshal Teddy Daniels and his new partner, Chuck Aule, have come to this remote island to investigate the disappearance of a patient, multiple murderess Rachel Solando, who is now loose on the island. In this scene, it is revealed that Rachel Solando, a war widow, drowned all three of her children in the lake behind her house. Rachel believes the children are still alive and that Ashecliffe Hospital is her house. In two years, she has never acknowledged that she was in a psychiatric institution. What is even more disturbing, is that it was impossible to escape from the room she was in. Indeed, the room was locked from the outside and the only window is barred.
Also, we can see that Teddy is still affected by sea sickness as he is prone to severe headaches.
